So, as has been somewhat obvious by my recent submissions, I've been doing some Star Trek Online character art. It had been word of mouth and got some takers. Then, yesterday, I posted what I had done so far in 10 Forward on the official STO forums. (You know how artists like to show off.)
24 hours later, a part of me thinks I was crazy for doing so, because I was silly enough to say sure to another request...In public.
Right now, I have 4 requests pending, 1 or 2 more possible, and 1 in reserve for when my technology catches up to what needs to be done. In fact, one of the possibles is the Community Manager, Phoxe, which really got to me. I mean, Phoxe has all those game artists at fingertips (or, at least Speed Dial) and I'm the one that gets asked.
Now, I just need to find a way to advertise it a bit better, lay down the ground rules, and give people better options.
As an aside, I don't know who's happier about this, actually. I was talking to
at the time all this came rolling in, and she sounded more excited than I did. (I guess I would be, too, watching someone get all this work piled on them with sadistic glee.
