First off, I'd like to take a moment to thank everyone that's fave'd my images, watch'ed me, and left comments. They are all greatly appreciated. If I don't get back to you, it's not because I'm ignoring you. I just tend to get busy and wrapped up in other things sometime, and being old, I'm forgetful. (Kristin...Hush!)
As you can probably tell, I've taken a bit of a Star Trek path here recently. I used to watch the Original Series as a kid (when I could get away with it. My parents were never big SciFi fans), and later, I was an avid watcher of The Next Generation. Then other things in life took over, and as I've never been a big TV watcher, I missed out on a lot of DS8, Voyager and Enterprise. However, I did manage to catch all of the movies and really enjoy them all. (My favorite: Insurrection.)
Then Cryptic Studios inherited the license to create an MMO based on Star Trek. I followed it, but had different interests at the time. Then three things happened. First, a couple of old friends from my SWG days told me they were testing the game and it looked promising. Then, my good friend John, just before Christmas invited me over to his house to watch the new Star Trek movie on his HD big screen. Then I was informed about Open Beta for the game and managed to get a key for free. So, I loaded it up, started playing and got freakin' hooked. So now, Drixena is tooling around the Alpha Quadrant in her Light Escort, the USS Reprisal (name is from one of the aircraft carriers in the series JAG...>Did I mention I'm a fan of that show as well as it's spinoff, NCIS.) and I'm having a blast. My old friends from SWG are there as well, and we're finding that the story line missions are a ton of fun in a group.
So, if you're playing the game, you can contact me there with the handle @dragon47 (Did you notice that the number 47 crops up in the series a lot?) and as part of the Crimson Phoenix Fleet. If you're not playing, why the hell not?
Anyway, to close, everyone have a great rest of the winter, and a Happy Valentine's Day.

I am glad, however, that you are having a lot of fun - that's what it's all about!!!
If you ever do decide to give the game a shot, though, you know where I'm at.
